Groundwater boards must post members and disclosures

By January 1, 2026, every groundwater sustainability agency must list its board of directors on its website or its local agency’s website. Each agency must also post a link to the state Fair Political Practices Commission page where the board members’ and executives’ statements of economic interests can be viewed. This improves public access to who governs groundwater and their financial disclosures. The law does not add new fees or payments.
