Gas stations can sell 10.5–15% ethanol gasoline

The law takes effect immediately. Gas stations and fuel suppliers can sell gasoline with 10.5% to 15% ethanol for transportation use in California. This temporary OK lasts until two steps happen: (1) the California Environmental Policy Council completes and posts its multimedia evaluation for these blends, and (2) the Air Resources Board either adopts a fuel specification for them or posts an assessment showing a compliant rule is not possible under Section 43830.8(f). After that, the board’s normal fuel rules apply.
