The law expands the crime of having burglary tools. It now covers key programming or duplicating devices and signal extenders used with keyless cars. You can be charged with a misdemeanor if you have these tools and intend to break into a building, railroad car, aircraft, vessel, trailer coach, or vehicle. It is also a misdemeanor to make, alter, or repair such tools when you know they will be used in a crime. The law defines these devices so police and courts can apply the rule clearly.
