Backstop for Robert F. Kennedy farmworker plan

The state reimburses the Robert F. Kennedy Farm Workers Medical Plan for very high-cost care. It pays the plan for amounts above $50,000 for a single episode of care for an eligible employee or dependent. This applies to claims on or after September 1, 2016. Each year, the plan sends CPA-verified data for services from September 1 to August 31, starting after September 1, 2017. The department pays within 60 days of getting the data, up to $3,000,000 a year. The threshold is lower than before ($70,000 to $50,000), so more cases qualify. This section ends January 1, 2031 unless extended.
