School districts: higher equipment tracking threshold

The law raises the school equipment inventory threshold from $500 to $1,500 per item. District boards must keep an inventory for items with a current market value over $1,500. The list must show the description, name, ID number, date bought, where it is used, and the original cost or a reasonable estimate. When an item is sold or thrown away, the inventory must show the date and how it was disposed. The Superintendent updates this threshold every two years using the state inflation factor, rounds to the nearest $50, and posts it online.
