Insurers can't label social-service use commercial

Your insurer cannot reclassify your car just because you use it to give public social services or social service transportation. They cannot label it a common carrier, commercial, for-hire, permissive use, or livery vehicle for that reason alone. This applies only to policies issued under California Insurance Code Sections 11580.1 or 11580.2. The law does not change your employer’s rights or duties.
