The law limits permit delays for highway billboards. The Department of Transportation cannot deny or delay accepting an application for a new display along a new interstate or primary highway alignment just because the project is not marked complete. This applies when the road is open to public travel within 1,000 feet of the planned sign. All other outdoor advertising rules and approvals still apply.
