If State Public Works Board bonds involve this property, the sale or lease money pays issuer and trustee review costs and any costs to defease or retire the bonds, including bond counsel fees. The remaining net proceeds are then deposited as Section 11011(g) requires. This reduces money left over from the sale or lease but follows the state’s deposit rules for net proceeds.
The law lets the state sell, exchange, or lease the California Highway Patrol El Centro Area office at 2331 U.S. Highway 86, Imperial (APN 064-443-010) to the City of Imperial. The Director of General Services sets the terms in the state’s best interest. Any sale or lease to the city does not need environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). This speeds the deal but limits public environmental review for this property transfer.
