Remote meeting and pay rules for legislators

The law lets members of the Colorado General Assembly join some committee meetings by phone or video. This applies during the legislative interim and for committees with members from both chambers at any time in the year. It does not cover joint meetings that mix House reference committees and Senate reference committees. A member who joins an interim meeting remotely counts as present for pay. Members are not reimbursed for costs tied to electronic participation in interim meetings. The legislative council’s executive committee sets these remote-participation policies.
