Kidney disease task force ends 2026

The law ends Colorado’s Kidney Disease Prevention and Education Task Force. It repeals the statute that created the task force and its duties. The repeal is set to take effect on September 1, 2026. The law also updates the sunset listings to match this end date. If a referendum petition is filed within 90 days after final adjournment of the General Assembly, the repeal does not take effect unless voters approve it at the November 2026 election. If voters approve, it takes effect on the date the governor officially declares the results.
