Colorado changes its 2025 inflation calculation

Colorado calculates its 2025 consumer price index by averaging two federal Bureau of Labor Statistics reports for the relevant region. The first and second halves of 2025 get equal weight. This method applies when comparing 2025 with 2024 and 2026 with 2025. It overrides conflicting rules in the state laws listed in the act. The law does not specify any resulting change to household payments, benefits, or costs.
