Colorado redirects money from judicial discipline fund

The law removes the $400,000 minimum starting balance for Colorado’s Commission on Judicial Discipline Special Cash Fund each fiscal year. On June 30, 2026, the State Treasurer must move $400,000 from that fund to Colorado’s General Fund. This is a one-time transfer between state funds, not a payment to households. The transfer provision expires on June 30, 2027; the minimum-balance requirement remains removed.
