Annual reviews for bond hearing officers
The State Court Administrator must set up a process to evaluate bond hearing officers each year. Reviews must gather input from attorneys, court staff, and other court users. They must also include input from the elected district attorney and the regional public defender, or their designees, for every district where the officer served. For weekend officers, the process must get input from each district they cover. The law takes effect immediately.
