Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

More Colorado drinking water projects qualify

The law adds 11 local systems to Colorado’s Drinking Water Project Eligibility List and updates 34 existing entries. Newly listed systems include LaSalle, Tree Haus, Riverview Subdivision, and Yampa Valley Housing Authority’s Whitehaven Mobile Home Park. Eligible work includes treatment, water pipes, storage, supply, meters, water rights, source protection, green infrastructure, and connecting or combining systems. Projects must be listed to qualify for Drinking Water Revolving Fund help, but listing does not award money. The law sets no funding amounts or loan terms; household bill changes depend on later financing and local projects.

More Colorado wastewater projects qualify

The law adds nine local sponsors to Colorado’s Water Pollution Control Project Eligibility List and updates 20 existing entries. New listings include Aguilar, Green Mountain Falls, Hartman, Hillrose, LaSalle, and several districts and housing providers. Eligible work includes treatment, sewer pipes, sewage solids, water reuse, stormwater, green infrastructure, and pollution from runoff. Projects must be listed to qualify for Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund help, but listing does not award money. The law sets no funding amounts or loan terms; household sewer bill changes depend on later financing and local projects.

Kiowa projects leave water funding lists

The law removes Kiowa’s drinking water and wastewater projects from their state funding eligibility lists. The projects are complete or no longer needed. These projects are no longer listed as eligible for help from the two revolving funds. The law identifies no household charge or funding amount tied to these removals.
