Beginning July 8, 2025, Connecticut’s Second Injury Fund rules allow credit for money actually recovered from third parties. The third party must be legally responsible for an employee’s injury. These recoveries reduce the paid losses used in the assessment rules for insured and self-insured employers. This can lower Fund assessments; it is not a direct tax credit or worker payment.
