Temporary pause on juvenile oversight plan report

The law temporarily removes the rule that the Juvenile Justice Facilities Oversight Office must present a plan to the Council on continuing its functions. It takes effect after the Mayor approves it (or the Council overrides a veto) and after a 30-day congressional review under the Home Rule Act. The act expires 225 days after it takes effect. When it expires, the prior oversight and reporting rules apply again. For this act, the Budget Director’s fiscal impact statement serves as the required fiscal impact statement.
