Colleges can help and pay for NIL deals

The law lets colleges, conferences, and athletic groups help with NIL deals. They can help choose or set up a name, image, or likeness (NIL) agent and pay that agent. They can also help choose, arrange, or collect payments from third parties in NIL agreements. The law removes the old ban that stopped schools from paying athletes for using the athlete’s name, image, or likeness.
