Authorize up to $5 million to Spectrum

The law approves a change to the District’s contract with Spectrum Management. It authorizes payment up to $5,000,000 for goods and services already received and still to be delivered under Contract No. DCAM-21-NC-RFQ-0002Q. The Council uses its Home Rule authority and overrides a standard procurement rule in section 202 of the Procurement Practices Reform Act.

Emergency law lasts up to 90 days

The act takes effect when the Mayor approves it or when the Council overrides a veto. It remains in effect for no more than 90 days from that start date. This window controls when the contract change and payment authority can be used.
