Temporary rules to help limited-English residents

The law requires the Mayor to issue rules, under the DC Administrative Procedure Act, to carry out the Language Access Act. The rules guide how agencies give translation and interpretation to people with limited English. The law applies as of June 19, 2004. It took effect after the Mayor’s approval and a 30-day congressional review. It expires 225 days after it took effect.
