Tax-credit affordable rentals not rent-stabilized

The law exempts rentals that get Low-Income Housing Tax Credits from DC’s rent stabilization rules. Landlords of these tax‑credit units do not follow rent‑stabilization caps while this law is in effect. The law takes effect after mayoral approval and a 30‑day congressional review. All changes end 225 days after the law takes effect.
