Square 4350 cul-de-sac closed; owners gain title

The law closes the cul-de-sac in Square 4350 by Douglas Street NE in Ward 5. The city finds this cul-de-sac is not needed for alley use. Title vests as the Surveyor’s plat S.O. 22-05506 shows, once the Surveyor records the plat. The Surveyor records the plat only after every condition in the official file for S.O. 22-05506 is met. If you own a parcel on the plat, you gain that title when recordation happens.

Emergency law lasts up to 90 days

The law takes effect when the Mayor approves it or the Council overrides a veto. Because it is an emergency act, it stays in force for no more than 90 days from that date. During that time, the cul-de-sac closing and title vesting rules apply.
