Water grant authority for Wangari Gardens

The District of Columbia transportation director may give the nonprofit Friends of Wangari Gardens a grant. It can pay to assess, design, and install a water meter and drinking-water source on the garden property. The water source must include a spigot that gardeners can use for free. The law does not require a grant or specify its amount or funding source. This temporary grant authority expires 225 days after the law takes effect.
