D.C. sports fees shift to stadium debt

After the specified Nationals Ballpark construction bonds are fully repaid, D.C. redirects sports facilities fee revenue. In fiscal year 2027, that money goes into the Ballpark Preservation and Improvement Fund. Up to $49.505 million pays ballpark early-repayment borrowing, RFK infrastructure financing debt, and required reserves. Any remaining money goes to D.C.’s General Fund; in later fiscal years, fee revenue goes to the RFK Campus Infrastructure Fund. The law applies beginning October 1, 2026, and its emergency authority lasts no more than 90 days.
