The District authorizes up to $25 million in revenue bonds. DC loans the proceeds to Society 1776 Mass Ave LLC, owned by Society for Science and the Public. The money pays to buy, redevelop, renovate, equip, and furnish 1776 Massachusetts Ave NW and related parking. It can also cover some bond interest, a reserve fund, and issuing costs. This resolution takes effect immediately to speed the financing.
