The District authorizes up to $37 million in revenue bonds and loans the money to Maret School. The funds can refund older Maret bonds from 2003 ($7.685 million) and 2004 ($10.25 million). Money can also pay for building work at 3000 Cathedral Ave NW and 5901 Utah Ave NW, plus furniture and equipment. It can cover interest during construction, set up a debt reserve, pay credit enhancement fees, and cover issuance costs. The resolution takes effect immediately as an emergency to speed the sale.
