Higher spending on DC aging-services contract

The District approves seven changes to Great American Corporation's contract with the Department of Aging and Community Living. Earlier changes added $490,000 twice and another $20,000, and revised prices for contract option years 2–4. The final change fully exercises option year 2 and extends service through May 15, 2025. It adds about $1.76 million, bringing the contract's spending limit to about $4.84 million. Payment approval covers goods and services exceeding $1 million during May 16, 2024, through May 15, 2025. The emergency resolution takes effect immediately; payments go to the company, not directly to households.
