Outdoor alcohol sales for bars and restaurants continue

Licensed bars and restaurants that register with the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Board can keep selling beer, wine, and spirits in expanded outdoor space. The law extends Streatery endorsements through December 31, 2025. It also clarifies endorsement deadlines for certain license classes. This emergency measure takes effect immediately and keeps the program running while permanent rules are finalized.

Medical cannabis location rules stay the same

If you hold or apply for a DC medical cannabis license, the current location and geographic rules stay the same. The law continues the temporary clarification without a gap while permanent legislation is finalized. It takes effect immediately.
