Covered bars and restaurants can refuse cash. It applies to retailers with a valid on‑premises Class C or D license, and to restaurants open 24 hours or open at 3:00 a.m. at least two days a week. If you do not take cash, you must post a clear written notice on the door or on the menu. The law takes effect immediately.
