New streatery alcohol rules for restaurants

The law takes effect now and lets alcohol-licensed businesses apply for a streatery endorsement or license from the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Board. This emergency authorization runs through December 31, 2025 so operators can register. Beginning January 1, 2026, an establishment may not sell, serve, or let patrons drink beer, wine, or spirits on a streatery without the proper endorsement or license. Applications go through a 45-day public comment and protest period, and may involve fees and processing time.
