DC animal control services stay funded

The law approves two changes to the DC animal control contract with Brandywine Valley SPCA. It authorizes payment of $743,083 for services from Oct 29, 2025 to Dec 2, 2025. It covers Dec 3, 2025 to Sept 30, 2026 and lifts the contract cap to $8,173,916. The District can pay for goods and services already provided and those still to come. Without this approval, the city could not pay above $1,000,000 for that period. The resolution takes effect immediately.
