Smoot Construction gets more contract funding

The law approves emergency changes to Contract No. DCAM-22-CS-RFP-0019 with Smoot Construction. On October 2, 2025, Modification No. 6 raised the cap by $999,990, from $58,363,414 to $59,363,404. Modification No. 7 adds $2,099,032 more, lifting the cap to $61,462,436 for construction management at Spingarn High School. The city is authorized to pay Smoot for work already done and for work to come under this contract. Council approval covers both changes because together they exceed $1 million, and the resolution takes effect immediately.
