Bars and 24-hour restaurants can refuse cash

The law lets some businesses refuse cash. It covers retail spots with a valid on‑premises Class C or Class D license. It also covers restaurants that are open 24 hours, or open at 3:00 a.m. at least two days a week. These places must post a clear written notice on the door or on the menu that cash is not accepted. Customers who use only cash cannot pay there and need a card or electronic payment. This change takes effect immediately.
