Childhood abuse survivors gain freedom to speak

Georgia law voids agreement terms that bar disclosure of childhood sexual abuse or related facts. This covers confidentiality, employment, settlement, and other agreements, whether signed before, on, or after the law took effect. No one can enforce or try to enforce these terms without a final court judgment declaring them enforceable. That judgment must no longer be open to appeal. Other agreement terms remain enforceable, and settlement amounts and payment terms can stay private.
