Easier remote animal advice, with triage safeguards

In Georgia, licensed veterinarians and veterinary technicians under their supervision can give remote advice or triage without an established veterinarian-client-animal relationship. Remote triage no longer depends on whether a veterinarian or technician is available within 50 miles within 24 hours. For triage, the provider must ask you to have the animal physically examined as soon as reasonably practical. The exam can happen at a veterinary facility or where the animal is located. You must receive written details about the veterinarian or supervising veterinarian’s full name, location, license number, license status, and teletriage limits. The provider must obtain your signed and dated acknowledgment that you received this information.
