Early County ends new plant tax breaks

The law ends new five-year local property tax exemptions for manufacturing and processing plant property in Early County, Georgia. The former tax break covered plants built, equipped, established, completed, or enlarged in the county. No new exemptions under this program can be granted after the law’s effective date. Property receiving the exemption on that date keeps it for the rest of its approved five-year term.
