New technology fees for Ware County court

The Ware County Magistrate Court can charge a technology fee set by the chief magistrate. The fee cannot exceed $10 per civil case filed or $10 added to each fine assessed. The clerk must keep this money in a separate account used only for court technology. Allowed uses include buying, leasing, maintaining, and installing computer hardware and software. They also include imaging, scanning, fax, communications, projection, and printing equipment and software. The authority to charge these fees ends July 1, 2036. Any money left stays reserved for general county technology uses, as decided by the Ware County Board of Commissioners.
