Beginning July 1, 2025, Georgia Medicaid covers continuous glucose monitors. You must have a diabetes diagnosis from your treating practitioner. Your practitioner must confirm you or a caregiver were trained and write a prescription. You also must meet one of these: daily insulin use, gestational diabetes, or documented problematic hypoglycemia. The Department uses the most cost-effective delivery and keeps criteria aligned with current standards of care.
