The City Clerk keeps the 'Official Map or Description of the Corporate Limits of the City of Acworth, Georgia' on file permanently. Certified copies from the Clerk count the same as the original in all courts. You can use this official record to confirm if a property is inside the city limits.
Beginning January 1, 2025, Acworth uses the official boundary map dated December 19, 2024. If your home or rental is inside that map, you are in the city and are subject to city taxes and fees and can receive city services. The map can be changed later under the city charter or state law.
