The Banks County Probate Court charges a technology fee up to $5 per civil filing and up to $5 per fine. The probate judge sets the exact amounts. The clerk keeps this money in a separate account and uses it only for court technology, like computers, software, imaging and scanning gear, and to digitize records for public access. The court’s authority to charge this fee ends July 1, 2035. Any leftover money stays dedicated to Banks County technology uses.
