Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 0 costs, 1 mixed.

Flu vaccination rule now starts at 18

The law lowers the age threshold in the state’s flu vaccination rule from 50 to 18. Adults age 18 and older are now included. People age 18 to 49 were not covered before.

State ends COVID testing rule in nursing homes

The law repeals Georgia’s state rule for COVID-19 testing in long-term care facilities. Nursing homes and similar facilities no longer must test residents or staff under state law. This lowers required testing and related costs for facilities and staff. It also means residents and families lose a guaranteed testing mandate.
