Dawson County election board gets staggered terms
The law staggers initial terms on the Dawson County Board of Elections and Registration across two appointment categories. The initial term end dates are December 31, 2024, and December 31, 2026. Dawson County's governing authority selects the initial members covered by these dates from the two categories. Later members filling these seats serve four-year terms. Members stay in office until their replacements are appointed and qualified.
