Seminole County school board elections become nonpartisan

Seminole County, Georgia, school board elections held after August 1, 2025, must be nonpartisan under Georgia election law. Districts 1, 3, and 5 elect members at the 2026 nonpartisan general election. Districts 2 and 4 do so at the 2028 nonpartisan general election. Later elections occur at the nonpartisan general election in the year each term expires. Elected members take office January 1 after their election and serve four-year terms, continuing until successors are elected and qualified. Current members keep their existing terms. The law also repeals conflicting laws.
