Upson Magistrate Court tech fee up to $5
The Magistrate Court of Upson County can add a technology fee. It is up to $5 for each civil filing and up to $5 on each fine. The chief magistrate sets the exact amount. The money goes only to court technology, like computers, scanners, and making records digital. The clerk keeps it in a separate account for these uses. The power to charge ends July 1, 2035. Any money left stays dedicated to Upson County technology uses.
