The clerk charges a technology fee set by the chief magistrate: up to $5 per civil filing and up to $5 added to each fine. Money stays in a separate account and only pays for court tech, like computers, software, scanners, printers, and making records digital for public access. The court cannot charge this fee after July 1, 2035. Any leftover money stays dedicated to Crawford County technology uses.
