Pickens County takes over airport authority

The law repeals the act creating the Pickens County Airport Authority, ending it as a separate government entity. All authority assets automatically transfer to Pickens County, Georgia, which also takes on the authority’s obligations. The county Board of Commissioners can sign documents needed to transfer ownership and maintain those obligations. It can sign these documents in the authority’s name. The law gives no dollar values for the assets or obligations and provides no new funding.
