Pickens County takes airport assets and debts

The law repeals the 2006 act and ends the Pickens County Airport Authority. All airport assets now pass to Pickens County automatically. The County Board can sign deeds, even using the Authority’s name, to put title in the county. Pickens County also takes on the Authority’s debts and contracts, and can sign papers to transfer them. Any older laws that conflict with this change are repealed.
