New appointment rules for Bartow airport board
The law sets the Cartersville‑Bartow airport authority at three members. Cartersville’s Board of Aldermen appoints one member the same way it picks the police chief. Bartow County’s commissioner of roads and revenues appoints one member, and the local state legislative delegation for districts in Bartow County appoints one member. The board elects its chair each year. This is a governance change and does not change local taxes, fees, or benefits.
