Stronger life insurance protection for military members

Group life policies issued or delivered in Georgia cannot exclude or limit death benefits because the insured is on active duty. This protects members of the regular and reserve U.S. armed forces. The protection does not cover deaths caused directly or indirectly by declared or undeclared war, including war-related acts or hazards. The law takes effect on the first day of the month after Governor approval or becoming law without approval.
