Group life must cover non-war service deaths

In Georgia, group life insurers cannot exclude or limit a payout just because the person died while serving in the regular or reserve U.S. armed forces. The only exception is when the death results, directly or indirectly, from war or any act or hazard of war. This protects policy payouts for service members and their families after non-war deaths under a group policy issued in Georgia.
