Barrow County takes over the airport authority

The law repeals the act creating the joint airport authority for Winder and Barrow County. It takes effect upon the Governor’s approval or becoming law without approval. On that date, Barrow County takes all authority assets and assumes its debts, liabilities, and other obligations. Existing leases, contracts, and agreements stay in force under county management. The county becomes the legal successor, and references to the authority in laws and local rules mean Barrow County. The authority dissolves once the transfer of assets and obligations is complete.
