New commissioner district boundaries for Hancock County

Beginning July 1, 2025, Hancock County’s four commissioner districts follow the HancockCCSB-2025 plan in Appendix A. Districts keep their numbers, 1–4, but their boundaries change. The plan uses 2020 Census voting district and block boundaries, and 2020 Census city boundaries where named. Omitted areas, or areas disconnected from their assigned district, go to the connected district with the smallest 2020 Census population. The board chairperson remains elected countywide. Current commissioners and people filling vacancies serve until their regular terms end and successors are elected and qualified. They represent their same-numbered districts under the new boundaries.
