Guam school fundraisers get permit fee waivers

Effective upon enactment, the law waives sanitary permit fees for temporary food service fundraisers run by school-affiliated groups to support students. Eligible groups include student clubs, sports teams, class councils, and parent-teacher groups at Guam’s public or private schools. This covers elementary, secondary, and college-level schools. Groups still need permits and must meet inspection and sanitation standards. Applicants must submit a school administrator’s certification of each event’s fundraising purpose. Administrators may approve events case by case and must keep records of approvals and compliance checks.
